Bighorn Consulting conducts protocol federal and state sensitive species surveys. These surveys are conducted to a level to satisfy the Federal Endangered Species Act, the California Endangered Species Act, the National Environment Policy Act, and the California Environmental Quality Act.

Bighorn Consulting biologists posses required applicable permits to survey for sensitive species. Technical reports will be prepared, and when necessary a Biological Assessment will be prepared and submitted to the required state and federal agencies for consultation. The goal of this level of surveys is to obtain clearance for alteration of a specific site or resource.

When required, the necessary permits will be obtained. Required avoidance measures, compensation, and mitigation will be outlined. Environmentally Sensitive Areas will be identified for avoidance for the purposes of streamlining the process.
